The Euromast in Rotterdam, built for the Floriade in 1960, towered over the other Rotterdam buildings for a long time. When in 1968 the hospital building became higher than the original Euromast, a second part was erected, the so-called Space Tower, and the current height of 185 meters was reached. In the Space Tower of the Euromast, visitors are treated to beautiful views in a panoramic elevator far above street level. On clear days even The Hague and Amsterdam can be seen from the Euromast.
